What is Detailing?

Detailing is the process of machine polishing you vehicles paint work using pure abrasive compounds in order to bring out a deep glossy finish and mirror like reflections.

After Getting your vehicle to the desired finish we then protect the paint by applying long lasting ceramic coatings or advanced sealant technologies that lock in the incredible results we can achieve through machine polishing.These protective products offer light scratch resistance, uv protection and dirt repellency all with hydrophobic properties that can last anywhere from 1 to 5 years.

You might be thinking why would I need to have my brand new car detailed? While it may be brand new, think about it’s journey to you.

Its been transported from the factory to the dealer, perhaps spent time sitting on the forecourt getting a quick and simple spray and wipe down each day to keep it “clean” yet all of these processes are sure to have inflicted some damage. Thats where we come in.

single STAGE ENHANCEMENT DETAIL

The Single Stage Enhancement Detail was created to transform your vehicles paint work by performing a seires of test polishing areas to find a pad and compound combination that will remove as many swirls, light scratches, marring and holograms. However there is a balance betweeen how many defects can be removed without needing a second refinement stage. The aim of this detail is to find a middle ground between defect removal and boosting overall gloss and clarity to the paint work. (60-75%) Removal. Deeper scratches need more intensive treatment to be removed. See below)

Two STAGE ENHANCEMENT DETAIL

The two stage correction detail is ideal for vehicles that have heavier defects present. It aims to reduce deeper scratches by 80% and leave the rest of the vehicle as close to perfect as possible! How do we achieve this? Firstly we take into account the hardness and depth of your vehicles clear coat. Typically German laquers are harder where as Italian or Japanesse paint finishes are generally on the softer side. Depending on the application will will employ the use of a Medium or Heavy cutting compound to take out the majority of heavy defects using a dual action polisher. Thats the heavy cutting stage complete! Next we use a fine compound to remove and refine any defects we may have inflicted with the heavy cutting stage. Things like pig tails left behind by more course cutting pads and compounds that contain larger abrasives. (80-90% Defect removal)

1 Cutting compound stage. 1 Refining stage.

THREE STAGE ENHANCEMENT DETAIL

FROM £650

The three stage correction detail is ideal for vehicles that have heavier defects present. It aims to reduce deeper scratches by 90% and leave the rest of the vehicle as close to perfect as possible! How do we achieve this? Firstly we use a heavy cutting compound to take out the majority of heavy defects using a dual action polisher. Any deeper scratches left behind will then be concentrated on using a rotary polisher which is a more aggressive method but is sometimes necessary to get the desired results. Thats the heavy cutting stage complete! Next we switch back to dual action polishers and a medium compound to remove any defects we may have inflicted with the heavy cutting stage. Things like pig tails left behind by more course cutting pads and compounds that contain larger abrasives and buffer trails if we’ve had to resort to rotary use.

The last step is the refining stage which will bring out deep gloss to pure or “flat” paints and clarity to metallic paint systems.
